Tsahi,

Unfortunately, my PC at home is offline... and thus my "Fridge" is as well. Pretty much says it all, doesn't it?

Alec,
I was wondering if you wanted comments here or on your fridge :-)
I, like Andrew, also feel like this is a solution with no problem.
As we move into the clouds, people will be quite happy and content to leave all the nitty gritty stuff of backup, management, uptime, and network bandwidths to others instead of managing it on their own.

They like Allpeers before them, should concentrate on one vertical application - and grow from there. I'm afraid this solves a problem no one has, and will be a tough sell.

Thanks for the heads up.

Technologies like this will certainly push the need for symmetrical bandwidth in the home or via mobile.

My 'Basic' internet service with 384kbps upload speeds would sure need an upgrade before I could offer up any streaming to my wide fanbase :-)

I like the fact that you keep your data and do not give it away to Google, Yahoo or MS.

Probably the webserver function should be built into an appliance instead like a homeserver and combined with backup.
