What impact does corporate blogging have on your business?

VoIP helps veterans

VoIP is helping disabled veterans by eliminating the need for many of them to commute to work, according to Rich Tehrani.  That’s the power of distributed PBX systems, which are being used to such great effect in organizations and call centers everywhere.  They’re cheaper to buy, cheaper to operate, and allow your workforce to be distributed across many physical locations.

Are you a pipe, or something more?

Are telcos communications companies? asks the Telco 2.0 blog.  The gist of the posting is that the time is rapidly approaching when carriers will have to decide whether they’re pipes or something else. Riffing on that theme, it digs into the New Presence piece I wrote before Christmas, noting that the money is in social interactions.
