Vacationing in Palm Desert
For the next week, I’ll be vacationing in Palm Desert, California. It’s hot here — probably as hot or hotter than any place I’ve ever been. In any case, expect the flavour of what I write here to be a little different.Â

Okay, I just checked out weather.com and it says Palm Desert, CA is 106% (although it only feels like 104%). Sorry no sympathy from Colorado, where on June 30th we had a real scorcher, at least according to my computer. Check out http://graymatterarea.blogspot.com/ for details.

Thanks David. We have reservations at Roy’s on the 16th, our 20th anniversary. Zins looks great too. I’ll have to check it out.

Well, Paula, I can’t compete with 451 degrees, but we hit 107 yesterday, and it was probably at the peak of our hike! Hottest I’ve ever been in was 114 in southern Mexico two years ago.
