Sites that repost content are nothing new. However, this latest, reported by Om and Andy, is really over the top. A company called XB 90 media is lifting posts out of RSS Feeds, and reposting them whole without attribution. They’re monetizing the site with Google Adsense. It’s such a laughable job that they’ve even preserved the original poster’s categories.
Adsense should cut these guys off before they ruin the program for all legitimate users.
Andy has done a recap of 2005. It’s an audio post, and works quite well. He’s still talking "me too, me also, me different ", but this time in the context of all the VoIM clients that are flooding into the market. A year ago, Skype had the space to themselves, today that is no longer the case. Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and many others have jumped in, and are now duplicating what Skype did. In fact, many are now doing it better than Skype. Gizmo Project is a great example.
Here’s hoping that the pace of innovation in 2006 continues!
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and Seasons Greetings to people of all faiths. Have a joyful time with family and friends and a prosperous and Happy New Year!
Santa came early this year. I am blogging this using a COMPAQ TC 1100 tablet pc. The handwriting recognition is pretty good. Even so, I am not sure I could write long pieces using it. Writing is easy enough, but I am really used to editing on a PC. Still, this is a great addition to the meeting room environment — I might actually be able to read my notes afterward, for a change!
Agile development processes are a little different from the traditional approach. They focus on iteration, feedback, and incremental feedback. Todd Jefferson has written a great piece over on Simply Relevant describing how we use those processes at Iotum.
