There you have it — Asterisk on the Gumstix SBC.  Having said that, it’s not actually doing anything with the media.  It’s a basic voice router, and that has been done before.  If you recall, IPTel had SER running on an iPaq at one point.

    It actually does process the media, it just doesn’t transcode (but it CAN - and that’s the point). You also have access to Asterisk’s rich applications - Voicemail, etc. My original intended application was for a SIP -> IAX proxy. Quite different from SER!
