Hot Stuff
This year we tried an experiment — growing hot peppers. Jalapeno, serrano, and poblano peppers will all grow in Ontario.
We had massive success. Here are a few of the peppers we canned to eat later.

This year I grew four types of chili pepers in Toronto: Fogo, Italian Roasters, Banana and Habaneros. The habaneros were difficult to grow and only after I replanted them in the front of my house where it is like a desert in the summer that they started to grow.

I’ve heard that Habaneros also have a very long growing season — something like 115 days to maturity. Based on that, I didn’t plant any of them.
