Bush calls for deficit reduction. Interesting set of contradictions here. The headline is about deficit reduction, but the article is mostly about plans to reduce taxes on capital gains, and accelerate the amounts that people can shelter in retirement plans. Bush is quoted as saying "I am going to analyze and think about some of the suggestions so that when I announce them they’ll be well thought out, they’ll be a part of a long-term plan." I should hope so!
